It's a full spec implementation of the Creole 1. 0 language aiming to follow the standard by the book.
Most important functions of Creoleparser by Stephen Day:
• Inline markup is easily customized
• add markup for additonal HTML tags
• Add support for custom markup like emoticons and WikiWords
• Advanced macro support
• Runs on Google App Engine
• creoleparser 0.7.3 is a complete and robust Creole 1. 0 implementation, plus optional additions
• Uses Genshi - the python toolkit for generation of output for the web
• Guarantees well formed xml output by default
• Can instantly switch between HTML and XHTML (or other formats) (see Parser)

• added higher level support for macros for those that donât need a specialized macro_func (see the bodied_macros and non_bodied_macros parameters of the create_dialect function).
• Renamed interwiki_links_funcs to interwiki_links_path_funcs, added depreciation warning.
• Added a bunch of other new parameters to create_dialect.
• Depreciated unused classes.
